What is included in my fee?
Included in the fee is woodworking instruction, use of the workshop, all materials, and lunch each day. When compared to other programs ours is actually cheaper because materials and lunch each day are included in the price.
How can we get Ernie Conover as a speaker?
Ernie is a frequent speaker for clubs and trade shows. Email him at email@example.com or call (440) 548-3491 to get pricing and arrange a program. Typically, a program consists of a slide show or talk on Friday evening with lecture/demonstration on Saturday and Sunday. Some clubs will have Ernie conduct hands on classes in a member's shop before or after the formal talk.
What time do classes start each morning?
Classes begin promptly at 8:30 am and end at 4:30 pm.
How long have you been teaching woodworking?
Do you accept beginners?
Most certainly. We are a teaching institution and our courses are designed for all skill levels. Our program is composed of adult oriented, highly compressed blocks of information. Each course is designed to teach quickly so that you can get on with the joys of woodworking.
If you are a beginner we do think that taking our courses in a rational progression will help you to learn faster. Since learning is a progression having basic information is vital to understanding more advanced subjects. Therefore, we have a variety of foundation courses that provide a strong platform from which to launch your woodworking career. Some of this information you may already know, however, and may skip that subject. For instance you may already posses the necessary information provided by machine familiarity or sharpening, and can skip these courses.
Our students take our courses for the useful information they provide. There are no tests to pass or judgments made. How you navigate our curriculum is completely optional. We only want you to work safely and to enjoy yourself. If you are unsure about how to proceed, do not hesitate to give us a call and we will find just the rig combination of courses for your needs.
