Private Instruction
Private Instruction allows up to four individuals to tailor a course to their exact needs and time constraints. Dates booked must be consecutive days. There is a 25% surcharge for weekend days.
Rates
- Cost for one person : $350 per day
- Cost for two students: $600 per day
- Cost for three students: $900 per day
- Cost for four students: $1200 per day
- Materials: What is used on a cost basis
- Meals: Bring your own bag lunch.

Standard Curriculum Classes for Private Groups:
For a groups of three to four individuals, Conover Workshops will run any regularly scheduled class at the standard pricing for that year. All that is needed is to set up a time slot is to call Ernie a (440) 346-3347 to arrange a class for your group.
October 2024
The case for hand tools in a machine world. October 7 - 12, 2024 (Mon-Sat, 6 days) 8:30am-4:30pm.
Includes all instruction time & materials. $75 non-refundable deposit required. Students supply their own lunches plus a travel mug for beverages. A non-refundable deposit of $75 is required to secure a spot in this class.

Two-and-a-half days of spindle and two-and-a-half days of bowl turning.

Making a classic design into art furniture (Class Full Waiting List Only)
July 19 to 27, 2025 8:30am to 4:30pm (Saturday through Sunday: nine days)
Ernie has not offered this 9-day Master Class since 2007 and is offering it in his 79th year in response to many requests. You end up with a magnificent piece of the furniture and a deep understanding of fine furniture construction; what today is called Art Furniture. Handtool Joinery or equivalent experience is required to take this course.

Lidded Boxes
Lidded Boxes: Small containers with a snap or screw fit lid
October 25 and 26, 2025, (Sat & Sun) 8:30am-4:30pm.
In this weekend class Ernie Conover will Show you how to turn small containers (boxes to turners) with snap fit lids which are perfect for treasures. such as earrings, rings or trout flies...depending?
November 2025
Make a pair (left and right) of candlesticks that date to the 17th Century ... the perfect holiday gift for that someone special.

Hollow Forms are spindle turned vessels

In this weekend class Ernie Conover will the the techniques to turn small and large slender spindle turned vases.
